JEOL’s new benchtop SEM: as easy to use as a digital camera

JEOL’s new benchtop SEM - the NeoScope JCM-6000 - is as simple to operate as a digital camera, but has the powerful electron optics of an SEM, with up to 60,000X magnification. The NeoScope makes it simple for any skill level of operator to obtain outstanding SEM images in less than three minutes from sample loading to imaging.

The microscope has a stylish new design with up-to-date features. Operation is via a touch screen, and is simplified with auto focus, auto alignment, auto contrast and auto brightness controls. The NeoScope operates in both low and high vacuum modes with three settings for accelerating voltage. These parameters are suitable for a variety of applications, all of which can be programmed in special pre-stored recipe files.

This all-new NeoScope now offers integrated, full-featured Energy-dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) with SDD technology for advanced analytical applications.

The NeoScope serves as a high throughput quality control and failure analysis tool, as well as accelerates the pace of research in a wide variety of fields.

LabWare introduceert LABWARE ELNTM v2.0

LabWare, wereldwijd bekend op het gebied van enterprise LIMS en instrument interfacing software heeft onlangs de officiële release aangekondigd van versie 2 van LabWare ELN.
LabWare ELN is een belangrijke component van de Enterprise Laboratorium Platform oplossing strategie.
LabWare ELN is een innovatief product dat wetenschappers en andere laboratorium medewerkers voorziet van automatisering tools om experimenten te beheren, methodes en taken op de juiste wijze uit te voeren en om `Intellectuele Eigendom` vast te leggen, te bewaren en te beschermen.
LabWare ELN is een experiment en workflow gedreven software applicatie die klanten in staat stelt om hun experimenten inclusief relevante wetenschappelijke informatie en observaties, instrument resultaten en bijlagen zoals spectra, chromatogrammen etc. elektronisch te documenteren. Het product werkt naadloos samen met LabWare LIMS, waardoor alle gegevens binnen LIMS toegankelijk zijn door het ELN en vice versa.
In aanvulling op de mogelijkheid om wetenschappelijke experimenten te automatiseren, biedt het systeem ook Laboratory Execution System (LES) mogelijkheden. NEW - DNA/RNA & PROTEIN Quantification - TRINEAN XPOSE

The Xpose is a compact, benchtop spectrophotometer for high-speed quantification of DNA, RNA or protein samples.
Using its microfluidic slides, 1 to 16 micro-volume samples (2 µl) can be prepared on any bench before starting the measurement. This avoids time consuming sample loading and cleaning steps on the instrument, leading to minimal hands-on time and a fast read-out of 1 minute for 16 samples. The large, full color touch screen allows easy experiment design using predefined quantification protocols.

Affordable 384-well pipetting
VIAFLO384

Integra Biosciences launched the new Viaflo 384, an enhanced version of the successful Viaflo 96 pipette. The new Viaflo384 has all the advantages of the Viaflo96.

It is capable of both 96- and 384-channel pipetting and therefore the ideal instrument for users already working with 384-well plates or planning to do so in the future.
The new 384-channel pipetting heads are available in 12.5 µl and 125 µl volumes and only work in conjunction with the new “XYZ GripTip boxes”, which are sturdier in built and feature an SBS footprint.

A Lab Armor Bead Bath performs all the essentials such as warming, thawing, incubating and chilling while maintaining a constant temperature just like a water bath, but with some extra benefits:

Nuremberg. De divisie Industry Automation van Siemens lanceert de « single-page-application » versie van de SIMATIC IT R&D Suite software. Het is voortaan mogelijk om dit software platform voor R&D en kwaliteitsbeheer te gebruiken op elke tablet met een web browser. De strakke aanpak uit zich in het ”single page application” concept dat uitvoerige menu’s, veelvuldig dubbelklikken, en talrijke schermen overbodig maakt. Het scherm toont enkel de logische opties in functie van de huidige activiteit van de gebruiker, samen met de nodige achtergrondinformatie. Datasynchronisatie is verleden tijd.
